Read what she sent in below...<br /><blockquote class="tr_bq"> First of all, the case was between Lagos state Government Vs Ibinabo Febresima but not Giwa Vs Ibinabo Febresima. On this faithful day of Feb 26th 2006 along the Lekki Epe Express way, my late brother Dr Giwa was driving with his brother and another family friend in his car coming from a meeting in Ajah, they were held up in a traffic around the evening time, when this tragic accident happened.<a href="" name="more"></a></blockquote> <div> <br /></div> <div>         Ibinabo was driving towards Lekki while the late Dr Giwa was coming from the other direction facing towards Island, just by shop-rite, when ibinabo's jeep flipped and lost control from her lane jumped over the culvert or pavement  that demarcate the road from the on coming vehicle. The speed that skipped and flipped a jeep  over the road demarcation will be considered "Reckless and Endangerment" because the VIO dept checked the jeep brakes, the engine and all the mechanical and electrical of the jeep but the result shows nothing wrong with the jeep and confirm that the accident as due to "OVER SPEEDING" in which the result was on record.</div> <div> <br /></div> <div>          After the accident, Ibinabo left the scene of the accident without checking for any survivors, she took the license plate and registration out of the car and fled from the scene, that was considered "HIT AND RUN". The people at the scene of the accident recognized her as Ibinabo Febresima, and stated she was drunk."Driving Under Influence" of whatever she had. The State Department of Transportation has to use the VIN number to locate the Owner of the jeep, in which the owner was Daniel Wilson. That was my very first time of hearing the name of Ibinabo Febresima. The Doctor died at the scene of the accident because the jeep was on top of the Honda accord driven by him and they couldn't save him on time because of the seat belt and the weight of the jeep, the brother and the other family friend in that car had survived. Did she know the state of mind and the emotional instability of the people involved in that accident up till now, Ibinabo has never been in a Comma.</div> <div>           After all the evidences against her, with the result of the VIO by the State department of Transportation, The DPP office took over and charged her to court and she hired Festus Kiamo in which after reviewing the case he withdrew by saying he cannot represent her because it's a bad case.</div> <div> <br /></div> <div>           Doctor Giwa has a living mother for goodness sake, wife with 3 children's, Ibinabo deprived him from seeing his children graduate from university and getting married, also from being the one to bury his mother at her old age, "Whereas no one ever prayed that on the day of their children's success and happiness they should replaced them with someone else".</div> <div>          Ibinabo was never remorseful, they brought her to meet with me shortly after my brother's death in GRA Ikeja before my return back to the USA, but her only concern then was to drop the charges against her. I told her that it's not my family Vs her but the State Vs her, that where I come from in USA that we do not interfere with the justice system, that they should do their job and advise her to apologize publicly to the masses and to the family and throw herself to the mercy of the court. She said and l quote "I CAN'T DO THAT, BECAUSE IS GOING TO DAMAGE MY CAREER" what an ego, she cannot apologize publicly, I feel like kicking her ass. She's worried about her stupid career, What happened to the career of the Doctor, who happened to be a 'MEDICAL DIRECTOR AND THE HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL REHABILITATION MEDICINE AT GENERAL HOSPITAL LAGOS.</div> <div>          People say there is no justice in Nigeria, but it does once in awhile. The lower court magistrate O.A Isaac found her guilty with the option of 100,000.00 Naira, which is considered a judicial recklessness, 100k does not even buy an iPad, the life of someone does not worth more that 100k, so that people will take the liberty of committing crimes.  Later Justice Deborah Oluwayemi of the High court find her guilty and overturn the option of fine and gave her 5 yrs in prison, she spent 3 weeks and came out on bail to go to Court of Appeal, however, how can a convicted person came out on bail, here in USA you will be in jail and they will transport you to and from each time you have an hearing. Finally Appeal court found her guilty and sentence her to 5 years imprisoned. </div> <div>           Let her face the wrath, it is said that you can run but can't hide, it's a law of Kama that catch up, This will serve as a deterrent to others. Who will believe after 10yrs she will still be slammed, The Family of the late Dr Giwa had moved on with our life's, She was forgiven, it was very difficult and painful, but God gave us especially his mother and children the fortitude to bear the loss.</div> <div>            On behalf of our families and friends, we really thank the Lagos State Government, The attorney general Mr Sasore, DPP Mrs Odutola and colleagues, Justice Deborah Oluwayemi, Justice Jamilu Yammama Tukur, Justice U.I Udukwe-Anyawu and Justice Tijani Abubakar and everyone for their support, no evil shall befall anyone, as you all go out and come in, may God's grace and protection abide with each and everyone. 'JUSTICE AT LAST' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  JUSTICE AT LAST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  JUSTICE IS FINALLY DONE !!!!!!!!!!!!. </div> <div>              "IBINABO HAS NEVER PAID A DIME TO ANY FAMILY MEMBER OF THE LATE DR GIWA AS INDICATED BY HER FRIEND'S, AND IF SHE DID PAY ANY FAMILY MEMBER, SHE NEEDS TO START MENTIONING NAMES NOW".</div> </div> </div>

Why this movie seemed so difficult for me was because I am from Anambra State and have to act like a village girl from Imo State, and I speak the Imo State dialect of Igbo language. It was really tough for me because I don't understand that kind of Igbo properly. I even had to learn the language on set from the director of the movie. So it was challenging for me. I took my time to learn the language word-for-word, so as not to make mistakes in anyway. I rehearsed almost everyday until I was perfect before shooting the movie. Till date, that has been the most challeging movie ever since I started acting.</span></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <b><i><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">What prompted the movie and why did you choose the role?</span></i></b></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I believe it is God because it was not an easy movie. Besides, I didn't really plan for the movie until I was forced to pick the role. It was not like I was given the script for months to prepare properly; they just assigned the role to me and brought someone to teach me the language. Immediately, I picked up. Although I tried to run away from the role because I saw it as stress, I didn't give up and I did well at the end of the movie. Also, the first three days were tough for me because I kept biting my tongue each time I tried to pronounce some difficult words in the language. I just thank God that the movie came out well and it is doing well in the market.</span></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <b><i><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Can you speak Imo version of Igbo language now?</span></i></b></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Very well. In fact, I am now very fluent in the language. I know you have watched the movie and you saw how I was flowing in the language. But the truth is that I am not from Imo.</span></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <b><i><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Most Nollywood stars seem to be relocating to Asaba in Delta State because of constant job offer there. Are you one of them?</span></i></b></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Not really, because my hometown is close to Asaba. Anambra is not far from Delta State, so I cannot relocate. But the truth is that I act most of my movies in Asaba. Delta is a good location to shoot movies and that is why some directors and stars are relocating. Not that we cannot divert to other states, but we are more relaxed here and there are good hotels for us. Personally, I prefer working here because Lagos is too stressful and busy for me. The lifestyle is different from what I am used to. I am more comfortable in the East. I even select jobs that come from there; same to most of my collegues. And most of Nigerian movies are being produced in Asaba; that is why we are here temporarily or permanaently.</span></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <b><i><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">You studied Sociology and Anthropology in the university; why did you divert to acting? Is it because of the money or your passion for acting?</span></i></b></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Money! (<i>Laughs</i>). I don't think we make a lot of money in acting movies; I believe it is just the passion for it. Like a lot of people would say, I have always wanted to be an actress, but that wasn't my story at all. I wanted to be a lawyer. In fact, I read Sociology and Anthropology at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), but today, I am an actress. Besides, I know my parents will never allow me to go into acting because I grew up in a religious family. My parents were very strict on us, particularly my mother. She was a vice principal and very disciplined. So acting was not in my mind while growing up and I never believed I was going to be an actress.</span></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <b><i><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">So how did you find yourself in Nollywood?</span></i></b></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I came into the industry in 2004 after my youth service. When I finished school and I had no job, I started thinking in that direction. I watched a movie. That was actually my first time of sitting down and watching a Nigerian movie. I got interested. I was impressed. I started going for auditions and I finally got my first role. I wanted to just dust my certificate and go and look for a job. It was that day that I saw one director, Andy Chukwu; he asked of my name, and that was how he gave me the lead role in his movie. He said he was looking for somebody who would act as a virgin in that movie and act it so convincingly. He saw me and he felt I could do it. After that job, I started getting other jobs.</span></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <b><i><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">What is the name of the first movie you acted?</span></i></b></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">My first movie was titled '<i>Nna men'</i>.</span></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <b><i><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Why don't you wear revealing clothes like some of your collegues in the industry?</span></i></b></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I am a very simple person and I hate exposing my body. No way. I am a jeans and tank top person. I love T-shirts a lot. My friends look at dresses each time we go shopping, but I go to jeans and T-shirt; then sometimes, I add dresses, prefarable long gowns for red carpets and other ceremonies.</span></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <b><i><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">You don't also play romantic roles frequently, why?</span></i></b></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I have been playing romantic roles, unless you are talking of sexy roles or the very, very glamorous type of movies where you wear mini skirts and half tops or you are almost naked. It is not that I cannot play such roles, but most times, some of these movies don't really have good story lines. It is not just about the dressing, the make-up accessories and the shoes. I prefer movies that have good story line where you can actually watch and say, yes, this is what it is talking about. And most times, village settings and epic movies do it for me. I prefer emotional stories; I think that is my speciality. It is not that I cannot play any other role, but there is this feeling you get when you are doing a movie; I mean you feel satisfied at the end of the movie, not regrets on why you participated.</span></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <b><i><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">You have somehow managed to stay off scandals.</span></i></b></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I think it has to do with my upbringing. I had extra-strict parents. My grandfathers were headmasters. My parents are knights of the Catholic Church. I have a strong religious background. My life was almost triangular. I went from home to school and to church and back home. Even till my first year in school, I always woke up to go and mop the altar in the church for the morning Mass. I was the president of the block rosary crusade (Catholic prayer group) in my area. I have younger sisters and I need to show them good examples. They look up to me. I am the first and they look up to me. Now, as a grown person, there are things I cannot do.</span></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <b><i><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">You sound so religious; is there any plan of you retiring someday from acting for religious life?</span></i></b></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">No. I am not ready to become a reverend sister. I actually thought I was going to be a nun then, which was past.  But I just knew I would not make a good reverend sister because I wanted a family of my own. I want to live the rest of my life with a man I will call my own. So I dropped the idea of being a nun and faced reality. And that is why I waved the idea aside.</span></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <b><i><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Did your parents like the idea of your going into acting? </span></i></b></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Not really. My mother told me that she knows she has trained me very well, as such, I should know what is good and bad. They told me to go out there and make them proud. I was shocked when she said that. I thought she was going to tell me not to be an actress.</span></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <b><i><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Do you intend becoming a producer in the nearest future?</span></i></b></div> <div style="border-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 15px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I am currently working on that. I just want to plan properly so as not to undergo any challenge when I am set.  And I will love to go solely into production of movies, not directing. And that will be this year by the special grace of God.</span></div> </span></div> </div>

This report is so silly but the only reason I'm sharing it is because not only did it make newspaper front page news, there are quite a few people in Liberia who believe this story and have expressed shock over what happened. Yes, really! Hehe <br /><br /> According to the story, a Liberian mother is claiming her 2 months old son transformed into a full grown man in seconds right in front of her eyes and ran into the bush. The 16 year old mother said she was on her way to the farm carrying her baby on her back on Tuesday September 23rd when the baby asked her to put him down. (2 months-old talk now? lol) When she did, she claims he turned into a man and ran away. For real? Read the full bizarre <strike>nonsense</strike> story after the cut...<br /><br /><a href="https://www.blogger.com/null" name="more"></a><br /> From <a href="http://www.liberianobserver.com/news/2-month-old-baby-turns-%E2%80%98full-grown-man%E2%80%99" target="_blank"><span style="color: #990000;">Liberian Observer</span></a><br /> <div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item even"> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> <div style="clear: both;"> Residents of Foquelleh in Panta District in Bong County were said to have been in unbelievable shock when a two-month-old baby, identified by family members as Smith Freeman, Tuesday, September 23, morning grew into a full grown man and escaped into the bush with his mother’s lappa.</div> </blockquote> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> According to the mother of the child, Lorpu Kollie, 16, on Tuesday she and the child were on their way to the farm when the child on her back tied in lappa spoke to her and told her to put him down.</blockquote> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> She told the Daily Observer that as they approached the crossroad, the child repeated his call on the mother to untie her lappa and put him down.   As soon as she put the baby down, she continued, the two-month-old boy instantaneously began to grow into a full grown man!</blockquote> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> Lorpu Kollie narrated that the child informed her that he (the child) was on his way back home since his grandmother, Lorpu Kollie’s mother, was in the constant practice of raining insult at him.  He even threatened bring incense and garlic into the home.</blockquote> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> “This was my first time seeing a two-month-old baby talking so clearly like a five year old child,” Lopu Kollie explained through a mobile phone interview with our reporter.</blockquote> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> She told the Daily Observer the baby who grew into man immediately took away her lappa and made his way with it into the bush.</blockquote> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> The 16-year-old mother intoned that she had earlier had dreams of her son where they both went into a town and entered a house without doors but they leaned on the house and found their way in as instructed by her son, Smith Freeman.</blockquote> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> She explained that in the dream, her son was the one serving guests with the food and her son emphatically warned her not to dare telling the dream to anyone.  But according to her, she revealed the dream to her mother, Gormah Kollie.</blockquote> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> Lorpu Kollie was swift to tell this newspaper that Smith Freeman did not have any scar or deformity on his body that could convince community dwellers that the baby was somehow belonging to the dark world.</blockquote> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> “The boy told me that he was going back home because my mother had threatened to bring incense into the house. He said the grandmother told him she had the power to drive away any witch craft,  Lorpu Kollie told this reporter.</blockquote> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> Speaking earlier to this newspaper, the father of the baby, Watson Freeman said since his girlfriend, Lorpu Kollie conceived, she complained of body and other related pains until she finally gave birth.</blockquote> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> Watson Freeman described the mysterious disappearance of his son as incredible and mind-blowing, saying he did not experience any apprehension about him being beyond being a normal human being.</blockquote> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> For his part, the grandfather of the baby, Jerome Kowan, said the unexplained vanishing of two-month-old Smith Freeman is the handiwork of the dark world.</blockquote> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> He maintained that the situation could stigmatize his daughter and drive away any man who may wish to take her as a future wife.</blockquote> <blockquote class="tr_bq"> Meanwhile, traditional leaders in the area have commenced a traditional investigation into the situation and advised people who made farms in the direction to which the baby escaped to stay away for a couple of days and observe.</blockquote> Story for the gods. Someone needs to be arrested for the missing baby...</div> </div> </div> </div>
